ALL THE STEPS FROM THE IDEA TO THE FINISHED PRODUCT...
We decided to create IST Models (pronounce it “East”), putting together the most advanced manufacturing techniques , the best die-cast model cars development and marketing experts, to bring to your collections a whole range of accurate 1/43rd replicas of the East Block cars.

THE IDEA, THE PROJECT...
From our very first idea through to the final product, this is a long process that we would like you to share with us and you will be very proud to add our genuine models to your collection.
IST Models was founded and the founders and management of the company were motivated by a genuine passion for model cars and out of this passion came the ideas, and from these ideas came the products.

THE TOOLS, THE CASTING, THE PAINTING AND MANUFACTURING THE DIFFERENT PARTS...
Based on drawings, diagrams or simply pictures, our R&D Department makes a complete file of the new project and passes it to our Engineering Department.
Then, our Engineering Department takes over the complete file of the new project and sets up a plan of action for the technical side of the process. At this stage, the tooling process can start. 
Our models are made up of metal die-cast injected parts using a Zinc alloy (body and sometimes chassis), plastic parts (interiors, bumpers, wheels, windows, etc.) and rubber (tires), with water transfers being used to add the final decoration.
The Zinc is heated up to 460 degrees Celsius before it can be injected and all the metal parts are trimmed and polished by means of a centrifugal drum containing abrasive ceramic stones.
The plastic injection molds are mounted on the presses to produce the plastic parts necessary for our models..
After undergoing very rigorous quality control, the different parts are sent to the painting and assembly sections.

FINAL ASSEMBLY...
The assembly itself is entirely hand crafted. Our models may consist of more than 80 different parts, of which some are so small that they must be fitted with tweezers.
Once all these parts have been prepared and painted, they are all assembled together into a final product. The assembly work is all done manually, one part at a time. Once this operation is complete, the finished IST Models are then carefully checked for quality before being packed in individual showcase boxes and exported all over the world.

Die-cast model cars have always been very popular items for advertising and promotion, which represents an important market of our activity. 
We can customize a model to the car manufacturers, make a different decoration for a special event or a launching campaign….
We can:

• use existing models with a customized decoration and/or packaging (minimum order of 1,000pcs)
• develop moulds for a completely new model, exclusively for your (minimum order of 10,000pcs)

As long as the production of other items involves the same techniques... we can even produce any other items such as airplanes or any metal and/or plastic molded items.
